UP 2012 on line Registration is now open.
To register for the conference, please follow the instructions below:
New User
1. Create an account at http://epsconferences.org/login?action=register
A username and your email address will be required.
You will receive a password via email.
2. Enter on the site using your username and the password you received via email
3. Choose XVIIIth International Conference on Ultrafast Phenomena (UP2012) to register.
Old User
1. You already possess a password (earlier sent via email) and you can directly go to the EPS Events Registration system at http://epsconferences.org/
2. Take care to choose the appropriate conference you want to register for.

Pre-registration and payment is strongly recommended to speed up your pick-up of the registration material at the conference and to save money. The pre-registration deadline is Wednesday 30 May 2012.

All registration fees are net prices exempt from Value Added Tax.
The European Physical Society is a French registered association for non profit and is not liable to VAT. For this reason the Society does not possess a VAT number.
* EPS Individual Members, Members of National Physical Societies who are members of EPS and OSA Members benefit from reduced fees. Applications for the EPS/OSA/IEEE membership fee must indicate their society and provide their membership number when making the online registration.

** Applications for the student rates must send (conferences@eps.org) a scanned copy of their official student identity card in order to validate the student registration fee. This card must also be presented on-site when collecting the registration material.
The registration fee for the meeting includes:
- Welcome reception at the UNIL on Sunday, July 8, at 18:30 (registration desks will be open that day from 16:00 to 18:00).
- Admission to the technical sessions of the conference.
- On line digest including the two-page summaries.
- hard copy and on line proceedings.
- Conference reception at the Lausanne Palace on Wednesday evening, July 11, at 19:00.
- Exhibition running from Monday morning to Friday noon time.
- Coffee breaks (Monday through Friday morning) as mentioned in the programme.
Lunches are not included in the fee.
Additional guest tickets for the conference reception can be obtained at a unit cost of 90,- €. Registration is required and payment needs to be made in advance. No additional tickets will be sold on site.
As a rule, due to space limitations and necessary advance reservation, on site registrants will not be able to attend the conference dinner. No fee reduction will be applied.
Tickets for public transports are not included in the fee. However, since January 1, 2008, all guests staying in hotels and guest houses in the greater Lausanne area can enjoy the benefits of the Lausanne Transport Card at no additional cost. This card, which is personal and non-transferable, will be issued by the relevant establishment when the guests arrive.
Geographic area
The card entitles the named holder to free and unrestricted travel in second class on the network formed by zones 11, 12, 15, 16, 18 and 19 of the Communauté tarifaire vaudoise Mobilis, the passenger transport network for the canton of Vaud (see information).
Validity period
The travel card is valid for the entire duration of the guest’s stay on condition that the fields provided for the name of the beneficiary, the name (or stamp) of the hotel or guest house and the arrival and departure dates are duly completed by the hotel or guest house staff.
The Lausanne Transport Card is valid for one person. The card must be presented for inspection on request. A means of identification may be required. Please note in particular that a valid ticket is also required for bicycles and dogs.
Registration:
Only electronic registrations are accepted. The early bird registration fees apply for payments made prior 30 May 2012. In case the payment is not done by that deadline, the late bird registration fees apply.

Cancellation policy:
An administration charge of euro 50 will be made for processing refunds. A request for cancellation must be made in writing. In the case of cancellation, requests received on or before 8th June 2012 will be refunded (less the administration charge). No refunds will be available if notice of cancellation is received after 8th June 2012.
